» He earned his law degree from Yale Law School. He also received his Master of City Planning and bachelor’s degrees at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

» He began his 39-year law career working at the Environmental Protection Agency for nine years, hazard waste regulation and Superfund enforcement. Prior to leaving EPA, Mr. Thomas became deputy director of the hazard waste enforcement program nationwide and special assistant to the general counsel.

» From 1996 to 2002, Mr. Thomas was a partner at McDermott, Will & Emery, a corporate, e-Commerce, and regulatory practice group. From 1991 to 1996, he was a partner at Goodwin, Procter & Hoar, where he practiced environmental law.

» He currently operates a solo law practice from his office in Framingham, Massachusetts.

» He is also Of Counsel to the law firm Preti Flaherty Beliveau & Pachios LLC of Boston, MA and Portland, ME.
